Our founders’ love for mezcal began over 15 years ago when they had a remarkable experience with mezcal at a wedding in Oaxaca. This experience sparked curiosity and intrigue to learn more about this mysterious spirit. In 2005, they opened the first mezcal bar in Mexico City called “La Botica,” which helped create a buzz about mezcal and was the first of many steps on their journey in the world of mezcal.

As some mezcal brands started to venture outside of Oaxaca, they began exploring less known agave regions, where excellent mezcal is produced, but cannot be legally named mezcal because it is outside of the Mezcal D.O. With over 200 agave species recognized in the world, they experimented with some very rare, interesting agaves – including some that have never been distilled previously – to create some of the most unique mezcals on the market.

They are proud to present the first-ever mezcal produced using only solar power, which has a minimal carbon footprint and environmental impact. Additionally, the production method allows the agave flavors to shine, resulting in a clean, non-smoked, superb flavor profile.
